Private Classes and Corporate Events
Cooking with Class leads the way when it comes to planning corporate parties and events. We offer lively, educational and fun programs that focus on preparing wonderful foods in small or large group formats. Clients can choose from set menus or have us customize a menu to compliment their special needs.
Classes and events may be arranged as demonstration, interactive using a team approach, small private groups or as a Chefs Table. Classes and events can be held in your home or one of our distinctive kitchen venues throughout the Bay Area.

A Demonstration Class

A Demonstration Class provides you with a private, state-of-the-art kitchen, a customize theme with menus and allows you to invite up to 40 people who will watch, listen and learn as our professional chef prepare outstanding dishes from around the world. All guests will receive a sampling of the foods prepared and have an opportunity to ask the chef questions to ensure they understand the subjects being taught. Additionally all students will receive a printed menu handout with recipes.

A Hands On Event

One of our most popular class types. In our hands-on classes our clients choose from an extensive catalog of menus and themes. Upon arrival the quests are divided up into teams. Each team is given a recipe that makes up the events menu selection. Our team of chefs and assistants guide each of the teams through their recipes highlighting proper knife usage, safe food handling, how to use specific tools, food presentation,and any unique points regarding recipe ingredients. We create an environment safe for questions, mistakes and learning. Guests finish the event with a wonderful sit down meal comprised of their hard work in the kitchen!

The Chefs Table

New this year! We have added the Chef's Table to our list of class offerings this year. Culinary Trends, Food & Wine, Gourmet and Cucina magazines have all stated that the latest trend in dining out is the Chefs Table. In our version of the Chef's Table our clients can choose one of our classic menus or have Chef Nanci customize a menu. Guests will arrive to a beautifully decorated room, white linens & lace, fresh floral arrangements, candlelight and elegant table settings. Once seated, guests will be served their first course. From there the guests will have the opportunity to watch as our chef prepares the selected meal in an open kitchen forum. Guests can come up to the kitchen, ask questions, taste and even help if they so desire. Clients are encouraged to ask Chef Nanci for specific wine selections to compliment each course served. |

Private Cooking Classes

In our private cooking classes Chef Nanci will work with clients one-on-one or in small groups up to 10. Classes are designed for the beginner, intermediate or advanced cook. You decide what and how you want to learn. We can work in your home, a host kitchen or the kitchens of Sur La Table. These small classes usually begin in the grocery store for a quick lesson on how to shop for pantry foods as well as how to select fresh meats, dairy and produce. A private class is ideal for all levels of cooking as well as small groups wishing to share private chef fees. The private classes are really popular with gourmet groups in and around the Bay Area!
